Ryobi 2300 Pressure Washer Review Guide For 2023-2024
Ryobi 2300 Pressure Washer Review Guide For 2023-2024-There are so many different pressure washers on the market today when it comes to power and prices, and choosing the right model can be a challenge. Have you looked at the ryobi 2300 pressure washer yet? It’s all about knowing what to expect. Generally speaking, gas models offer more power than electric,so what should you expect from this ryobi 2300 pressure washer review? Facts and my honest opinion.

Let’s start with categories. 2300 PSI puts this model in the light- to medium-duty category. electric pressure washers in this range are targeting a few Pros but mainly homeowners that want a smaller supplementary tool for their large gas models. So you wouldn’t expect this pressure washer to do what a 3,000 PSI unit will be able to do.
Key Features:
The ryobi 2300 pressure washer packs a 13-amp motor as a power source for it’s Brushless Electric Power. Don’t expect electric motors to produce the horsepower that gas can, they do have some advantages. The biggest advantage for homeowners is that there’s no gas motor to maintain. Typically homeowners will only use their ryobi 2300 pressure washer once in awhile whereas if you only used a gas pressure washer on a occasional basis you would have carburetor issues among others. They can be frustrating to start and not to mention costly to maintain.
But ryobi 2300 pressure washer goes a bit further with a brushless motor. With a brushless motor you eliminate the need to replace carbon brushless, the motor will even run cooler. It also has a longer life expectancy than its brushed counterpart. The electric brushless motor is a compelling choice for homeowners. A simple on/off switch on the top replaces the pull cord which is a nice feature to have. You’ll notice the GFCI cord is there for additional protection, like all electric tools that you can use around water.
Assembly and Transport:
When something is going right why change it, right? That is the reason behind the ryobi 2300 pressure washer sharing the exact same frame as their 2800 PSI gas model, which makes sense. It’s real easy when all you have to do is click the top handle in place and arrange your nozzles on it. Now just connect the two lance pieces and you’re just about ready to go. I would say it’ll take you more time to break down the cardboard box that it came in than to put the ryobi 2300 pressure washer together.
You’ll also see a foam grip on the top of the handle. While it’s really comfortable when rolling the ryobi 2300 pressure washer around, I’m a little concerned about just how long it will take before the sun starts to degrade it. Especially if you live in sunny Florida. Keep in mind this is an occasional duty unit, so it should last at least a couple of years when you store it properly and keep harsh chemicals away.
Rolling over lawns and hard surfaces are pretty easy due to the 12″ oversize wheels. My only complaint at this point is I would like the handle to be a few inches higher to make it easier to pull it around places. But that’s just me you might find the handle fine for you.
Detergent Tank:
The onboard detergent tank will auto mix at a 20:1 ratio. Which is a nice feature. However, do not use bleach. There are explicit instructions to avoid using bleach. It’s a favorite of homeowners and pros alike, but this model of ryobi 2300 pressure washer isn’t designed to handle it.
Hose and Cord:
The hose is 25 feet long and the GFCI electric cord is 35 feet long. With this combination you’ll have enough reach to avoid going back for an extension cord in many cases. Just below the handle center is where the hose stores. To keep it in place there’s a hook and loop (AKA Velcro) strap. Even tho it doesn’t feel like it’s the most secure of connections, it does the job. But if it ever fails there are a dozens of easy options to replace it. Let’s take a look at the cord. It has a storage point on the side using a bungee-style holder. We all know that in time bungee cords will eventually stretch. How long it lasts depends on sun and chemical exposure. So in time this would have to be replaced.
Nozzles and Wand:
Nozzles attach via standard quick release chuck. Three come with the Ryobryobi 2300 pressure washer: 15-degree,soap, and turbo. These will cover the basic tasks, of course you can always purchase other different nozzles to do different tasks if you want. The spray wand has a plastic handle and is of a fairly basic metal construction. Also a trigger lockout mechanism behind the trigger. Unfortunately there is no adjustable spray like we see on the Ryobi’s 2800 PSI gas model.
When it comes to security the plastic wand holder on the side of the pressure washer is adequate, but not the most confidence inspiring. Just to be on the safe side if your carrying the ryobi 2300 pressure washer in the back of your truck or in a trailer, you may want to remove the wand and store it separately to be on the safe side.
Performance:
The Ryobryobi 2300 pressure washer as a medium-duty model, is designed for tasks like building maintenance, driveway cleaning, and car washing. One big difference between the ryobi 2300 pressure washer and other pressure washers is that you’ll need to get closer to the surface to get similar cleaning power. Concrete cleaning is where you’ll notice it the most. More than likely you’ll have to bend over more and spray a smaller area than you would if you had a gas model.
But that’s what you really should expect as you move down in power. Not only are there tasks that require more power in general, higher PSI models also get the lighter jobs done easier. What I really needed to know is if this Ryobryobi 2300 pressure washer could handle working for several hours straight. Our driveway hasn’t been pressure washed since before we moved in – several years before by the looks of it. So it took a few hours of consistent work to get it clean. There wasn’t a hint of hesitation or power drop the entire time and we never hit thermal shutdown to protect the motor. So from the standpoint of endurance, it’s a win.
The Bottom Line:
Ryobryobi 2300 pressure washer
As a system the Ryobryobi 2300 pressure washer as a whole is a very easy to use. The hose connections are easy to manipulate and are easy to access, the controls are intuitive and simple, and there’s almost no maintenance to concern yourself with. Even transport and assembly are very easy. This is a very good choice,as a pressure washer for homeowners. Keep in mind this is not going to be as powerful as a gas pressure washer.
