In this review I’ll be looking at the ThermoPro TP20 Wireless Remote Digital Cooking Food Meat Thermometer with Dual Probe for Smoker Grill BBQ Thermometer.
A very good thermometer job, is to cook food perfectly every time. And also to stop all the guesswork of when to take it off the grill.
When you order the ThermoPro TP20 Wireless Remote Digital Cooking Food Meat Thermometer with Dual Probe for Smoker Grill BBQ Thermometer you’ll find it is made using dual-probe technology. With this technology you will be able to monitor two kinds of meat. Or you could use one sensor as an oven probe that will accurately read its surrounding temperature.
A great feature is the mobile reviver. With a range of up to 300 ft. This allows you freedom from the grill. So you could mingle with your friends, do some chores or even better watch TV. With this monitor that keeps you updated on the temperature of your meal you don’t have to physically check on your food! Until it’s done of course.
This monitor is a two-probe remote reading thermometer with a timer function. Both the sending and receiving units are clad in a rubberized covering. This is to protect them against damage just in case you should drop them.
RF signals using a proprietary protocol, not Bluetooth or Wi-Fi is how this unit communicates. When turned on the two units will establish communications unquestionably.
You’ll see the temperature display on the sending unit toggles back and forth between probe 1 and probe 2.
Displaying the temperatures in either ºF or ºC. I did not find a backlight feature on the transmitter.
Now the receiver does display both temperatures simultaneously. You’ll see it is either in Fahrenheit or Celsius. You have the ability to select alarm temperatures for each probe. You can choose the
USDA recommendations or a setting of your choice.
Incidentally there is only an upper limit, so its use as a cooker monitor is somewhat limited. As both probes are the same you can use either to measure cooker temps or food.
The cord length is just 40″ (1m), on the short side for open air grill use.For mounting a probe to measure the cooker status there is a grill grate clip.
The backlight illuminates the display and the temp flashes, and a beeper goes off. When an alarm threshold is reached. With just a push of a button you can cut off and silence the alarm. You’ll see there is a button to illuminate the display backlight.
Also with the temperature alarms there is an up/down timer that will run. When in count-down mode, when it times out it will flash and beep.In either mode time is displayed independently of the temperatures, and can be set up to 99 hours and 59 minutes.
The user’s manual is clearly written and reasonably complete. In case of problems Contact info, including a telephone number and e-mail address, is provided which is always good to have.
Conclusion:
This unit has the basic feature set found in equipment of this type. The build is fine for home use. Accuracy is good, if not stellar. Overall, I’ll give this a thumbs up for meeting expectations at a fair price. Thanks for taking the time to read our Best Thermopro: Wireless Digital Thermometer Review Guide For 2023-2024.
